Data protection

Data protection basics

InfoCheck Circle is built for survivor safety and public learning. Volunteers must write incident summaries with no personal traces. The points below explain what happens to data when a report is submitted.
01

What we collect

Incident submissions include district, harm classification, description, optional location and source URL, optional evidence files/links, optional verification checklist answers, and optional risk triage. Volunteer profiles store name, email, phone, affiliation, and district for program support. Internal database UUIDs are never shown in the public UI — only Case IDs are.

02

What becomes public

Public incidents appear on the dashboard, map, and charts by Case ID, with case facts suitable for community awareness. Reporter identity and contact details are never published. Evidence is exposed only through opaque access links, not raw storage paths.

03

Retention

Records are kept for the duration of project DDIBAN017 and may be retained up to 24 months after project close for donor compliance, Ancholik Alapon forum materials, and related reporting. After that window, data is deleted or further anonymized according to program policy.

04

Requesting removal or correction

To request unpublishing, redaction, or deletion, email youth4policyiid@gmail.com with the Case ID and a short reason. Urgent safety concerns should still go to 999 / police first.
